From Louis F. Williams:
Well, well, well. I suppose I’m wondering... “Is this the man who could create ‘The revolution of organised common sense of the people’ vs. ‘The derogatory, ignorant, illusive, controlling rich of the shroud world’, &, lead the much needed rebellion??!” Hello Richard Hamilton... My name is Louis F. Williams... I’m a new Science Fiction writer. I initially stumbled across you on the facebook group ‘An Inconvenient truth’... I’m a fan of the documentary’s revelations and, I loved this statement you made... at 12:09pm on December 30th, 2008
Prove Me Wrong, Anybody?
Global warming is being sped up by humans. Overpopulation is a huge part of the problem. We went from 2.5 billion in 1950, to 6 billion in 2000. At the rate we’re going, they’re predicting about 9 billion in 2040. And the counter keeps ticking. This is not sustainable.
The wars of the future will be fought over dwindling natural resources. To ease the burden on our dwindling natural resources, we should strive to find a viable means of reversible sterilization for all children.
Just like a driver’s license helps protect other drivers (because of training,) reproduction should require a license. An individual would be eligible at the age of 21, provided they pass minimal parenting and financial tests. This will also eliminate teen pregnancy and slow down crime (unwanted children are the cause of most crime.)
I agree...I apologise that I’m not in fact going to try to prove you wrong! Lol! Fascinating, I feel your views are and I love your premise of what drives your passion:
My odyssey to try to understand the Cosmos began in 1955 at the age of five, when no one could answer my questions. In the ensuing 53 years, I have found that my peers didn’t question the “reality” that was taught to them.
As the Moody Blues sing, “There are none so blind as those who will not see.”
I believe it is time to question everything. After all 99% of species, that have evolved on this planet over 3.7 billion years, are extinct.
We are headed down this path.
‘Okay, so why has Louis contacted me?’ -Well for quite a few reasons actually. I use Facebook to reach out to my niche Sci-Fi audience. When I saw ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, for me it added to other views I had (about climate, politics, oil etc), and gave me the the opportunity, I felt, to do MY bit. The book is called The Initiative & is set in China’s future, 50 years from today.
This is my first Sci-fi novel (I self-publish & it’s almost published but not yet!). I’m a black British born citizen, I live in London, England. I’m 27 years of age with a partner and a baby on the way. I would love you to read my book. I refer to ‘smaller initiatives’ being created and proposed by everyone on all types of national, economical scales, in order to get us as a species back on track. I don’t want Humand kind to head down the dark path either Mr. Hamilton...
This comment you made (see again... This will also eliminate teen pregnancy and slow down crime (unwanted children are the cause of most crime.) ) is the raw foundation of a fundamental type of small initiative, that would in today’s world be disregarded (based on weak-minded Human Rights laws), but one that has so much potential, for when a worthy generation rises, or is forced to rise based on a chaotic climate that’s getting worse (when a ‘collective’ mentality will need to be apparent in order for our species to survive). It’s the kind of ‘Initiative’ that would accompany the main one that I’ve written about. My story is fact merged with fiction, and so is NOT REAL. But, it’s lovely to meet someone dedicated to thinking and expressing views about real ones! You seem very educated, and come across as ‘self-taught’ with it. My book touches on the Cosmos. It’s a resource which I feel we Humans can use sustainably too. On your site I also checked out your views on ‘Politics’ & ‘fossil Fuels’. I love information and once I’ve divulged it, I, like you, like to come to my own conclusion. I wonder, have you seen ‘The Obama Deception’? If not, check it out (see youtube). It’s written, produced, presented by a free-minded, humanitarian activist named ‘Alex Jones’. Its basic revelation being the light being shone on the ‘Bildeberg group’, and the ‘Anglo-American, banking empire’: better known as the ‘New world Order’, that’s comprised of the world’s richest, & true actual players who dictate to Obama, and who ‘plan’ the uprising, or demise of any national, economical infrastructure in the world today; as they see fit... Anyways! Below and attached is my ‘The Initiative’ book sample with synopsis. Please reply to me if you feel you can benefit from our knowing one another etc. I look forward to hearing from you Richard, & I await your valuable insight...

From Keith K regarding Thoughts:
Thanks for your website … like you, I enjoy serious and thought-provoking interaction. I read your page on hell, and as a guy who follows Jesus … I couldn’t agree more on the Greek word “gehenna” referring to the Valley of Hinnom on the south side of Jerusalem. So, nothing to prove you wrong on there … just thought I’d chime in with some agreement. Thanks.
From Keith K regarding Religion:
Enjoy reading your thoughts. In the religion section you stated, “Jog your memory and try to remember anyone in power willingly giving up that power. ” If the Biblical account of Jesus is real, then Jesus would be one example of someone (the Son of God) who gave up power willingly (living as a man, standing peacefully before Pilate, etc.). Now, I don’t expect that answer to usher me into the Hall of Fame … but I intend it to suggest this. If Jesus is real … he conforms a lot to the pattern you suggest that a true “god” would hold to. His critiques of religion, his desire that we use our resources to care for the poor rather than to seek our own luxury, his rejection of military force and calls for peace, and many other things about him match up similarly with your point-of-view. Now obviously if we went through things point by point, we would see differences between you and him … but to just look at a few key points you seem to have a lot of similarities in what you think. And from our point-of-view (me and you … and apparently Jesus) some of the best ways to make decisions are to hit a few key points and head for the center. And at the center of who Jesus was we find a message of selflessness for the salvation of all … and you seem to be someone sounding a similar message. Good stuff, bro.
I...am a pastor at ... If you’re ever near xxxxx, let me take you out to lunch or something and let’s have a conversation about Jesus. I truly enjoy thought-provoking conversation and I’m not looking for an excuse to badger you about petty crap and tell you you’re going to hell or something. I’d just like to hear more of your thoughts and have the opportunity to ask questions … and if I’m lucky, maybe I’ll add something thought-provoking … and if I’m really lucky, maybe you’ll put in me in the Hall of Fame because I convinced you of something different (probably not smart enough to change your mind on religion … but maybe I’ll convince you to try a new food or something J). Look me up online at xxxxx so that you know I’m legit. Thanks. And let me know if you’re up for getting lunch sometime.

It is a pleasure to meet a deep-thinking soul. I look forward to our meeting. As you can tell from my writings, I also look forward to a time when all children born into this world have a chance at an enlightened, secure upbringing. This is why I promote sterilization at birth, with only people who can prove that they have earned the right to bear this awesome responsibility to be allowed to have children. The enormous benefits of this are a virtual elimination of abortion, teen pregnancy, and (most of all) unwanted and neglected children.
As far as Jesus giving up power, that’s not much of a sacrifice if you KNOW you’re going to heaven. After a 50-year study of evolution and the cosmos, I believe that reality is now understandable even for the uniformed. Of course, it is very frightening to give up the idea of a reward for being good. I believe that we are the universe itself coming to consciousness and this is provable.
I believe that all animal and plant life is just as important and has just as much right to live as we do. If we learn to “stop killing them,” maybe it will translate to “stop killing each other.”
I am an open-minded person, so I would be grateful if you can add insight to my mission...you may call me at your convenience at xxx-xxx-xxxx. I’m looking forward to our discussion. Please pass on whatever insights that you can from our discussion.
From Diane B:
Your solution is to temporarily sterilize children until age 21 and to successfully pass 2 tests. I disagree with some of the things you stated. First of all, I don’t believe the cause of most crime is unwanted children. I believe the cause of most crime are drugs, greed and jealousy. It would be interesting to get feedback from law enforcement and the judicial system to find out what they think causes most crime. For the sake of argument, even if the cause of most crime was unwanted children, sterilization would still not solve this. After someone turns 21 and passes both tests successfully, what happens when they get pregnant when they don’t want to. This can occur in many different situations, they already have kids and this pregnancy is untimely (they have too many), they have an affair or one night stand and get pregnant, they get raped, they get diagnosed with cancer, and the list can go on & on. I believe that abortions and unwanted pregnancies will never be totally eliminated.
Richard Hamilton — Reply to Diane B:
I believe that when people have to earn the right to have children, they will take this awesome responsibility more seriously. While abortions will not be eliminated, they will be greatly curtailed. I believe that 95% of crime is caused by children that were not properly raised. The idea of this website is to expand people’s thinking on these issues. Please read all of the blog and pass it on. To avoid the 99.9% extinction rate we all need to think more about these present and future problems.
From Steven J:
I wanted to disprove your errant views vis-a-vis the Arab/Israel conflict. But I wanted to start here. First of all, Jerusalem has been around a lot longer than 1947. It was an ancient Canaanite king who first ruled it. Later Abraham and Melchizedek met during what is commonly called the Bronze Age (some 3800 years ago). Obviously the city has changed hands throughout time, via war and conquests, ironic in light of the fact that the name literally means “City of Peace.”
I have noticed however, that you deny the existence of God. Therefore, I would call your attention to the science of statistical probability with regard to Biblical prophecy. Please fell free to examine and, if plausible, refute the brief conclusion a reknown scientist made.
spiritualcuriosity.com/curiosity/bible.htm
Richard Hamilton — Reply to Steven J:
Arab/Israel Conflict:
You’re right. Jerusalem has been around a lot longer than 1947. I was referring to Israel. “On 15 May 1947 the UN appointed a committee, the UNSCOP, composed of representatives from eleven states. To make the committee more neutral, none of the Great Powers were represented. After five weeks of in-country study, the commission recommended creating a partitioned state with separate territories for the Jews and the Arabs in Palestine . This “two state solution” was accepted with resolution 181 by the UN General Assembly in November 1947 by 33 votes to 13 with 10 abstentions. The Arab states, which constituted the Arab League, voted against. On the ground, Arab and Jewish Palestinians were fighting openly to control strategic positions in the region. Several major atrocities were committed by both sides.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_israeli_conflict)Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I changed “the territory” to “the territory of Israel” to make this clearer.
Science of Statistical Probability has already been refuted by
Peter Stoner’s critics: (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Stoner)
“C. P. Swanson, reviewing Science Speaks in The Quarterly Review of Biology, wrote: “...the author has fallen into the commonest error of using only these facts which bolster his hypothesis, and of discarding or controverting those which do not. For example, his discussion of the theory of evolution is not only misleading; it displays an abysmal ignorance of recent evolutionary studies.”
Also, various critics have taken issue with Stoner’s interpretation of prophecy. Stoner’s apologetic work did not receive critical attention until its inclusion in Josh McDowell’s Evidence that Demands a Verdict and criticism of these claims tends to be addressed at McDowell rather than Stoner, with Stoner’s name mentioned in passing. These criticisms against McDowell, Stoner and others include historical errors, claims regarding after-the-event authorship and/or tampering with Biblical prophecies, and disputed meanings of certain Biblical phrases.
Others who disagree with specific claims made by Stoner include fellow Christians and secular historians: for instance, while Stoner says of Ezekiel’s prophecy of the permanent destruction of Tyre “If Ezekiel had looked at Tyre in his day and had made these seven predictions in human wisdom, these estimates mean that there would have been only one chance in 75,000,000 of their all coming true. They all came true in the minutest detail”, others claim that “the problem is that very little of this actually came to pass! In fact, it badly missed how history actually unfolded” and “The location of the city of Tyre is not in doubt, for it exists to this day on the same spot and is known as Sur.”
People who believe in the bible can’t “pick and choose” which passages support their claim. It’s all or nothing. I believe there is a commandment against murder. And what ever happened to “turn the other cheek?” The bible was written in short story form by many different people, with many different agendas. And they thought the world was flat! The people who believe in the bible need to advance to the 21st century and understand reality.
From Nancy M:
"Can’t “prove you wrong.......” You make sense to me, however.
I just spent the remainder of my xmas 08 studying your insights and beliefs, and I have to say, (spending almost 2 hrs plus) reading EVERYTHING...........You are by far, one of the most interesting minds I have run across (especially on the internet), inspiring me to delve into what “backs you up” on your studies, (besides the extensive history you go into with Constantine era and thereafter), you definitely know your history!
Several questions and comments come to mind, but since it is almost 2:30 am Dec. 26, and I need my sleep, one question for now: Semiramis (Easter Goddess) widow of Nimrod, a pagan sun worshipper tale, IF pagan,......why is she referred to as the “Queen of Heaven” in your writings............Pagans didn’t believe in Heaven? And Nimrod is talked about once as being “purified”........that is not really the pagan way, rather Christian talk. You come across that you think people use religion as a crutch, and you are right. However, I think you are intensely a true believer in God/or something up there, and trying to get proof, like the rest of us. Some of us just believe in Miracles.......they don’t know how they get there, but they believe. My son once said to me: Mom, if God created us, who created God? He was 10 yrs old. What a profound statement.
2nd questions: (HA.......I thought I was only going to mention one). I am a long time student of Astrology and Numerology. DO you give any weight (with being into the Cosmos) to these sciences, and I do believe that your discussion about the Wave, has a lot to do with Bio-Rhythms, which fall into numberology. Let’s talk more about this. Partnerships/marriages have biorhythms (numbers on both sides and work in a balancing form, what one has, the other doesn’t, but balances out), bla bla bla. Also, the Easter Semiramis that originated in a big egg and hatched at Easter time, well Aries, end of March almost all of April, is in Aries, signifies new start, childlike behavior, new beginnings, new ideas, the start of things......At this point, my astrology beliefs are matching up with mythology legends.
I do not know your date of birth, I am guessing yours is in February.
Finally, interesting that Santa has the same letters as Satan. Just move the t over one notch and put that n last.............Very so interesting that the pagan sun worshippers started all these Christian holidays, makes sense.
I am not a Lefty, so guess that makes me right handed. Lately, I have been using my left hand for a lot of things, except for handwriting. I know a bunch of Leftys, and I do believe they are much more intelligent than right handlers.
Interesting about how Halloween derived from Nov. 2 All Saints Day. Makes sense. Oct 31, and Nov. 2 are in the sign of Scorpio, which among other things, rules death and mystery."
Richard Hamilton — Reply to Nancy M:
“Thank you for reading my website. I’m impressed. Very few people are open-minded and curious enough to take the time to research the facts.
Thank you for sharing your views. I’m getting a lot of “hits” on this new website, but few people have the courage to comment. You are exactly the type of audience I’m trying to reach.
Science (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science) and the pseudo-science (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudo_science) of astrology (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrology) split forces nearly a thousand years ago.
Maybe this will give you some insight into the similarities that astrology (they divide everybody into only 12 classes and subclasses) seems to promote: The super-volcano eruption in Toba (74,000 years ago) nearly led to our extinction (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toba_catastrophe_theory), and left only two thousand humans on the planet. Therefore, the similarities of humans are apparent, because of our lack of diversity (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_bottleneck).
Astrology infers that the positions of the planets and stars have something to do with the type of person we will be. (asourceofinspiration.com/2006/09/29/debunking-astrology-tales-of-a-skeptic/.)The attending physician that delivered you had a larger gravitational affect on you than any of these objects (classicalastronomy.com/news/anmviewer.asp?a=227&z=13). Humans want to believe in a higher power because we are the “children of the universe” coming to consciousness (understanding ourselves), and we are frightened. So we strive to come up with a solution (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolutionary_psychology_of_religion). Reality is grander than people allow themselves to believe.
With an open mind, you will see that these so-called miracles are not what they’re cracked up to me. For instance, when a fire rages through a town, does it miraculously go around a church? No. It burns the church down. Does a tornado miraculously skip over a church? No. It destroys it, too.
Your understanding of the wave is very gratifying to me. Most people can’t get that point. I agree with you - biorhythms (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biorhythm) are based on the wave. The reason that numerology (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerology) seems to have a relationship with life is because everything is based on the wave. Everything travels in patterns. These patterns are based on physical laws of the universe.
We do not need astrology or religion to understand evolution. Remember to be good, just because you should be. People feel they need a reason to be good. (“Why be good if I’m not going to heaven?”) But, virtue is its own reward.
I’m not sure what you meant by this: “Semiramis (Easter Goddess) widow of Nimrod, a pagan sun worshipper tale, IF pagan,......why is she referred to as the “Queen of Heaven” in your writings...”
It sounds like your son is on his way to having a top-rate mind.
I await your comments.”
From Nancy M. - Your Future "Hall of Famer":
First, thanks for replying so fast! I didn’t even know it, my girlfriend who I copied in, (because we continue our friendship with deep discussions on religion, politics, constantly challenging each other’s way of thinking, a very stimulating and interesting friendship) - we were both raised Catholic and had the same nun/teacher in grade school! Anyway, she called me and said you answered me and posted my comments on Provemewronganybody.com.
As for Dennis R.’s feedback, left handed is political? Thought it was because righty Mom’s handed their children everything to the left hand. Lefty’s are a product of Mom’s habit.
My son was also raised Catholic, he’s ok with that, and we are both happy he has some spiritual base to use in his lifetime. We all need a spiritual base to keep our minds from exploding. My immediate family - we are not church-goers, I don’t force my son to go to church. They will go when they feel they need it. I honestly don’t get much pleasure out of attending my church, but I do, when I feel I need the meditation, when I need to square up stuff with myself. It helps, sometimes, it gives one a sense of a new beginning. My son has an imbedded sense of substance, knows right from wrong, and would never hurt anyone. I honestly don’t know what or who he believes in up there, to lean on in tough times, when he can’t rely on himself or his peers/parents for advise. I don’t know if he prays to Jesus/God/Our Lord/a Higher Power. That’s his business. What I do KNOW is he is lazy, spoiled a bit, and is on his cell phone too much. He is a very good hearted young man, cares intensely about his family and friends, and wouldn’t hurt a flea. He maintains an intriguing mind, his friends and peers adore being around him because he is so sharp, good-looking,a good listener, and fun to be with!He is very respectful to his elders, parents, strangers, and his parents. He just quit his great job of 2 yrs. steady and decided not to continue his second semester at a private university to finish up his BA. Is he making wrong decisions and screwing up his future, procrastinating again? Maybe. Are his parents disappointed in his decisions? Yes. He has to experience it, the realization of his procrastination, to figure out his life! And nobody can do that but him.
I just love it when these young adults challenge the norm! Thumbs up to young challengers that are good people and not hurting anyone else! (Only hurting themselves. HA) Richard, Happy Birthday! I know much about Capricorn. My 83-yr old father lives with me, it was his birthday DEC. 25th! I have studied this man for 56 years! Capricorns( in that 10th pile there), have a political, practical, ambitious, down-to-earth, steady and wise approach. Cap’s use everything. Well, almost everything, they are the goat you know. Sometimes the goat will eat everything in it’s path, including tin cans. You do everything with purpose. I like that. You have to admit,(I was close),I guessed you as Aquarius,/ February. You were just one before that. But no wonder you are infatuated with getting to the bottom of proof on Jesus’s birthday Dec. 25th! I have heard before doubts that He was in fact not born on this day........When was this man Jesus born then? Do you know? Astrology is more than 12 piles that we throw everyone into. Chinese astrology, for instance, takes animals, birthdays, years, numbers, elements all into consideration and I think Chinese astrology has 144 piles of people. I do know this, astrology is 3 things, that make a person up. One-third is the way you think, this is the month day year time that you were born. The 2nd (third) is your environment/Where you were born, Place, who raised you, what environment you were raised in. The remaining 1/3 is your biological make-up. Add the intricate Chinese astrology, and you have a very one of a kind, (clone proof) human being. No two are alike. Not even twins!
You said you didn’t know what I was talking about with asking about Semiramis, (a pagan? Queen, of “HEAVEN”.........did pagans (atheists, right?) do pagans even “believe” in HEAVEN?
And, wait a minute, I have truly heard of fires raging thru a town, and missing a certain home/church that should have been burned, in the path of the fire. Same with tornatos that should have destroyed something in their path, the house or whatever was never touched. There are tons of miraculous unbelievable events that are on record and hard to believe of the savor. Call it luck maybe. But honestly, from not a good Catholic by any means, but a good person I am, PRAY works.....
Haven’t you ever prayed Richard, and it came true, much to your liking? You’re still alive, aren’t cha? I KNOW you have prayed sometime in your lifetime, and your prayers were answered. I am a miracle worker, and they say, you are “what you think you are”. I can help you understand just how important the constellations in the sky were at the time and place of your birth, that influence your way of thinking, acting, reacting, and to simplify things we need to start with the 12 piles to throw each one of us in........forget about the attending person/doctor who delivered you out of your mother’s womb. Irrelevant, what if you delivered yourself? Just you and Mom? Then, who do you blame for the way you are, they way you think, the way you perceive things, they way you teach things, the way you see the future, the way you continue down the path of life? (Do I dare say, Merry Xmas to you? Happy New Year too? Am I corny? Hey, and the Chinese don’t celebrate new years until February, right? That’s odd.
Your new friend, (I hope) and Susan’s friend.........so be nice.
From Nancy M:
Won’t talk long, it’s your dayexample:If you were born in 49, add all the numbers up in your birthday and reduce to a single number, 9 or under. If you were born in 49, all your numbers at birth add up to 7.You are in your seventh life.Seven lifers are secretly searching for a reason to believe in themselves, and other things. You need nature, outdoors to find this.combined with cap, you invest well for your old age.Only thing is, Caps tend to get younger and younger as they grow old.
Richard Hamilton — Reply to Nancy M:
I’m so happy you aspire to be a future “Hall of Famer.”
When Dennis R. commented, “I thought ‘Lefty’ was political,” he meant he thought the title Lefty referred to left-wing politics (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_left). He disagreed with the statement that lefties are more intelligent than right-handed people. (But he didn’t offer an argument to disprove it.)
Lefties are not a product of Mom’s habit. They are actually a product of genetics (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetics) and epigenetics (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epigenetics). Being left-handed is genetic; as is being gay or having diabetes. With diligence, some (but not all) genetic predispositions can be overcome; for example, diabetes can sometimes be controlled with exercise and diet.
The month and day of Jesus’ birth is unknown, and the year is probably between 7 and 2 B.C. (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas#Nativity_of_Jesus)
December 25th was chosen to coincide with a pagan festival. (mainemediaresources.com/mpl_christbirthdate.htm)
To understand astrology (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrology) and numerology (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerology), let’s go back to the circle example I spoke about on the Point-of-View page. (The circle is 360°, and instead of normal linear learning (bsu.edu/classes/nasseh/bn100/change.html) processes, think of seeing the entire circle as one “big picture.” Instead of point-by-point, learn to take key points and jump to the center (answer). By taking a larger view, you can step back and see the “big picture.”
The points on the astrology circle would be: 12 - 144 classifications of people; takes animals, birthdays, years, numbers and elements all into consideration; uses month day year time that you were born, environment you were raised in, and your biological make-up. Now, step back and see the “big picture.” Astrology is a pseudo-science (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscience), used as a crutch by individuals who feel the emotional need to believe in a higher power. The same can be said for numerology.
I don’t know what you mean by "Semiramis, (a pagan? Queen, of “HEAVEN”.........did pagans (atheists, right?) do pagans even “believe” in HEAVEN?" because I don’t think I mentioned “Semiramis”, “Nimrod” or “Queen of Heaven” in my web site. (Please let me know which page you saw it on.) I do provide background information by linking to relevant web sites. Perhaps you read it on one of these linked web sites? If you find a link that you think provides better background information, please let me know.
It is difficult to throw off the shackles of the indoctrination of a lifetime (//billcooney.blogspot.com/2008/11/religious-indoctrination-of-children.html). Not many can. But with a thorough understanding of evolution (both the earth [//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolutionary_history_of_life] and the entire cosmos [//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_evolution]), you can see the truth (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth.)
I await your reply.
From Nancy M:
Richard,
You asked about my reference to Heaven and Pagans belief, I read this (somewhere) that it took me from your website: that Semi.......(spelling?) was "Queen of Heavens", and she was a pagan. But now realize, Pagan means belief in Many Gods, not atheist. Just thought using the word Heaven wasn't pagan-like. Think it was under Gods, in your site, and took me to Wikipedia? Or maybe the extensive readings on Constantine Ruler. Tried to go back and find it. Wikipedia can be edited, you know. You ought to think about tie'ing up with another source that can't be changed. Keep in touch.

You’re absolutely right. Glittering generalities and personal opinions are NOT fact based. I really haven’t studied the Atkins Diet; I just saw reports about it on TV. I wasn’t that interested in it, because I prefer to maintain my weight with exercise and eating in moderation.
Although there does seem to be some controversy about the safety of the Atkins diet, I wouldn’t want to be on the losing end of that debate. The website administrator did a brief search and found (among others) this from WebMD: “On Atkins, you are far below the minimum requirements -- 150 grams a day -- of carbohydrate. So the organism and the brain are probably suffering from the lack of glucose to burn, and that is disturbing the normal function of the tissues." (webmd.com/diet/news/20040902/low-carb-diets-work-safety-still-issue)
From John M:
Nice website. I agree with most of your thoughts and you don’t sound too loony. However, you do have some contradictions. The major one is that you side with the Liberals over the Conservatives. The trouble with this belief is that no politician is that black and white. They call Bush a Neo-Con or conservative, yet has reduced the size of government? How is the Patriot Act and the government bailout of businesses a conservative tenet? In the same respect how is Bill Clinton’s signing of the welfare reform bill a Liberal position? Free your mind about pol labels, choose the ideas that make sense. Your opinion of blaming the last two recessions of 2002 & 2008 on republicans conflicts with your “Wave” theory. The tide goes in and the tide goes out. The economy faltered under Bush 1 and recovered under Clinton, but then again declined at the end of Clinton’s era and rose again with Bush 2 to yet fall again. The economy is a natural cycle, we may be able to lengthen the run or lessen the severity of the slides but it follows it own natural rhythm. My last bone to pick is your view on oil. We should be burning fossil fuels as fast as possible. Why do we want to prolong our addiction to oil? Why are we even using internal combustion engines in 2009? Think about it, Do you even own the same phone, fax, computer, VCR, TV or CD player as we did 10 years ago? Why are we using an engine in cars that dates back to the turn of the century? Technology is the way out of the energy crisis.
Richard Hamilton — Reply to John M:
I use Liberal-Conservative as a standard that most people can recognize. If you take a circle with 360°, you can see that everything and everyone falls into what I call a shade of gray. There are no absolutes. But in general, I believe that conservatives want the status quo. This is especially true of the religious right wing - 22% still believe that Bush was a great president! Liberals see a need for change and that is what we need.
I believe my wave theory does predict and explain recessions. The party in power does influence the wave. I tried to explain this with a stock market chart. The wave is in the background and human interaction produces the jaggedness.
Oil is way too valuable to burn as fuel. It is in everything including fertilizer for food. Instead of building bombs, we need to build electric and hydrogen transportation.
From Mike V:
Like your stuff, haven’t read all of it yet but most are on target. You should add more on fossil fuels, as far as this issue our country is like a crack addict towards oil. The price is mostly controlled by the commodities market and when oil peaked at around I think it was 140+ a barrel, there was actually a global surplus of oil. It was a total free for all for big oil thanks to Bush and I already knew the price was going to drop near the election. Like hey vote for us we fixed oil prices, please...... And the fact that J.P. Morgan owns there own oil plant. But of course there’s no conflict of interest there. Another topic is all the government subsidizing of the oil companies, this should be gradually depleted and money put into solar and cleaner alternatives. If done properly the oil companies would be slowly squeezed out of the equation.
I’M glad the automakers are feeling the pinch after producing inferior product for so long. Its time they dust off the blueprint of the perfect electric cars produced almost 20 years ago, which were scraped for being toooo efficient, clean, and low maintenance.
I’m curious of what you believe about 9/11, is as billed or do believe there was a big coverup. I believe its the biggest since Kennedy. Check this sight out and the movie “9/11 Ripple Effect”, if you haven’t seen it, its an eye opener. And it takes a lot to convince me of anything. Take it easy.
Richard Hamilton — Reply to Mike V:
I agree totally with your comments on oil ($147 per barrel) and the auto companies.
ALL of my Canadian friends believe 9/11 was a cover-up by Bush and Chenny. I heard a story about a jet pilot who said that he was on his way to the towers after the first tower was hit, but was recalled by Chenny before the second tower was hit. Bush’s approval rating was 35% the day before and 80% the next day. We will rally around the president during a crisis. I also believe Bush didn’t want to catch Osama bin Laden because fear keeps the sheep under control. They learned that tactic from religion!
From Mike V:
The problem with some of your theories, and I agree with most, but like colonizing mars if this happens its going to be long after we are gone, Just look at our space program , it is nothing like it used to be. So how to disprove an open ended theory. Yes it may happen, were not going to be around to see it. So it is easy to make predictions that cant be proven, either way.
And your prediction on DICK ‘n BUSH being tried for war crimes, I wish this would happen but this will never come true. The NWO is true, but them being tried in a world court is not going to happen. If they had any true power currently they would have done something at the beginning of the Iraq war. And even if its 20 years from now BUSH AND DICK will get a pass.
Richard Hamilton — Reply to Mike V:
My ideas are based upon knowing that our present, short-sighted leaders won’t change unless the people demand it! This may take a catastrophic event. I am trying to enlighten people before this happens. Please help me. Stephen Hawkins recently said, “Mankind shouldn’t have all their eggs in one basket.” We will colonize Mars. It may be 20 years or 50 years, but we will for our future survival prospects.
The UN special consul is trying to bring charges against Bush and Chenny as we speak.

Keep in touch.

i have just seen a small portion of your site but like it.
THE ONLY WAY TO REALLY PROVE SOMETHING RIGHT OR WRONG IS WITH SCIENTIFIC DOUBLE BLIND STUDIES ITH 2 CONTROL GROUPS.
rather difficult
also takes YEARS SOMETIMES AS WITH THE ATKINS DIET- veracity or quackery???

Predictions: I LOVE THE NEW FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!
Politics: Bush and Cheney are our worst nightmares come true. No need to have gone to Vietnam (EARLIER) or Iraq. LIES LIES
UFO’s: i know earth is insignificant but we could be of minor interest in the wholistic approach by aliens
God: Yes it seems to make sense richard that our belief in god is pagan based. One can only take it on faith. maybe if we didnt have a god we would have to create one to make people tow the line and BE A GOOD LITTLE BOY etc

RE: "Yes it seems to make sense richard that our belief in god is pagan based. One can only take it on faith. maybe if we didnt have a god we would have to cre"ate one to make people tow the line and BE A GOOD LITTLE BOY etc" ~ Exactly
RE: "also takes YEARS SOMETIMES AS WITH THE ATKINS DIET- veracity or quackery???" ~ Atkins is quackery - carb deficiency is bad for the brain.
From phil:
ATKINS DIET: what SCIENTIFIC proof do you base THE ATKINS CARB DEPRIVATION HARMS THE BRAIN IN LIGHT OF FACT THAT THE BODY DOES NOT NEED SUGAR( WHICH CARBS CONVERT FROM, FOR HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT? glittering generalities are NOT fact....personal opinions are NOT fact based....
